Help and solutions to common problems
The seven most common problems with the Jev Ultrafast extension, their causes and quick fixes. If nothing helps, write to us.
What is not working?
Nothing happens after clicking Start
CauseThe active tab is not an ordinary web page (e.g. a new tab, chrome://, the extension store) or no goal has been entered.
SolutionOpen a page starting with https:// in the active tab or enter its address in the Start URL field. Fill in the Goal field.
HTTP error 401 or 403
CauseThe API key is wrong, has expired or does not match the selected provider.
SolutionPaste the key again, check the provider and click Save settings. An Anthropic key starts with sk-ant-.
HTTP error 429
CauseThe request limit has been exceeded or there are no funds on the provider account.
SolutionWait a moment, check your balance with the provider or choose a faster and cheaper model, e.g. claude-haiku-4-5.
Ollama or LM Studio does not respond
CauseThe local server is not running or is blocking requests from extensions (CORS).
SolutionRun ollama serve. If Ollama returns 403, set the variable OLLAMA_ORIGINS=chrome-extension://* and restart the server. In LM Studio, enable CORS in the server settings.
The agent clicks, but the page does not react
CauseSome pages ignore events generated by a script.
SolutionTurn on the “Trusted input events via CDP” option in the panel. The browser will show a debugging bar for the duration of the task.
Status blocked or the agent goes round in circles
CauseThe goal is too general, the element it needs is not visible on screen, or three actions in a row changed nothing.
SolutionMake the goal more specific (exact values, order), scroll the page to the right place and run it again.
The model returns invalid JSON
CauseThe selected model does not support JSON responses or is too small.
SolutionChoose a model that supports structured outputs or JSON, e.g. Claude, gpt-5-mini or qwen3 in Ollama.
