A law firm website that Google and AI can read
Kancelaria Adwokacka Paweł Winko, a law firm in Warsaw, handles cases for drivers: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while banned, road accidents and driving licence suspension. We moved its website obronakierowcow.pl from WordPress to a static site with structured data and files for AI models. The new site has been live since 5 October 2026 and now has 27 URLs.
Why the client is named
We publish a client's name only after their written consent. The law firm gave that consent, so we show the full website address and link to it. Campaign results and Google traffic stay in the reports for the law firm. Below we explain why they are not on this page.
The old site and the hard limits of the sector
Legal services are a demanding sector for SEO. The content deals with penalties and deadlines, so every mistake harms the reader, and the rules of professional ethics for advocates limit what a site may say about itself and about competitors.
- The site ran on WordPress with Elementor and the Yoast plugin. A Yoast setting excluded blog posts from the index and there was no sitemap for posts, so the articles were invisible to Google. We fixed this while the site was still on WordPress, on 25 August 2026.
- Criminal law and road traffic offences are topics Google calls YMYL (from "Your Money or Your Life"): the reader's money, driving licence and sometimes freedom depend on the content. That is why every penalty, deadline and amount on the site must be confirmed by the lawyer before it is published.
- The Code of Ethics for Polish advocates (§ 23) prohibits comparative information and criticism of other advocates, so the content cannot look like a typical advert for services.
- The move had to keep every old URL: subpages,
?p=and?page_id=URLs, RSS feeds, categories and old sitemaps.
A new site instead of WordPress, without losing any URLs
- A static site with 27 URLs: the home page, 10 service pages, 3 city pages (Radom, Płock, Siedlce), 7 blog posts, won cases, about the lawyer, contact, the blog, the privacy policy and the terms of service.
- Every old WordPress URL under https://obronakierowcow.pl redirected with a single 301 hop to its counterpart. Leftovers of the old system (admin panel, plugins, files) return a 410 code so that search engines forget them quickly.
- Structured data: the law firm (
LegalService) and the lawyer (Person) in one graph on every page, plus services, blog posts, breadcrumbs and 118 questions with answers in FAQ sections. - Access for AI search engines: the robots file lets in the ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity bots, and
llms.txtandllms-full.txtgive models the services and case results in plain text. - Two tools on the home page: a converter that turns a breathalyser reading into a blood alcohol level with its legal classification, and a calculator of deadlines for appeals and other legal remedies.
- Won cases: 6 cases with the lawyer's description and a scan of the judgment. We publish the scans only as images without a text layer, checked with boosted contrast.
- Contact within reach: the phone number in the header, on mobile an SMS button with a ready-made message, and a form with lead tracking in Google Tag Manager.
- The Google rating sits in one file that the whole site reads from. Every week an automated job compares it with the law firm's listing on Google Maps.
- URLs without the
.htmlending (e.g. obronakierowcow.pl/jazda-po-alkoholu), plus notification of changes to Bing via IndexNow and to Google via the sitemap in Search Console. - Google Ads search campaigns send people to the pages of specific services, not to the home page.
Every change visible on the site needs explicit approval before it goes live. The changelog in the repository records what is visible on the site, what changed in the code and when it reached the server.
What could be verified after launch
We checked the figures from the sitemap and the page code on the live site on 18 October 2026. We read the rating from the law firm's listing on Google Maps on 16 October 2026.
- Old WordPress URLs under https://obronakierowcow.pl respond with a single 301 redirect, not a chain of redirects.
- The sitemap, the robots file and
llms.txtrespond with a 200 code. - After every deployment an automated job compares the checksums of all files on the server with the version in the repository.
What we deliberately do not show here
There is no traffic chart and no campaign results. The new site has been live since 5 October 2026, which is too short to compare traffic before and after the move fairly. The Google Ads and Search Console data belong to the law firm, so they stay in the reports for it.
How long it took
| Stage | What happened |
|---|---|
| July to September 2026 | Audit of the old site, a Google Ads search campaign, a plan of blog topics and a list of legal figures for the lawyer to confirm. |
| 5 October 2026 | The new site live in place of WordPress, with redirects from all old URLs. |
| 12 and 13 October 2026 | 24 new FAQ questions in 5 articles and 5 new blog posts. |
| 16 to 18 October 2026 | Facebook and LinkedIn in the footer, an SMS button, the Google rating from a single source, two new judgments and URLs without the .html ending. |
What this means for law firms and other service businesses
- First the list of old URLs, then the new site. A move without a redirect map wipes out what the old site had managed to build up in Google.
- Publish case documents only as images. An image without a text layer has nothing to reveal, and boosting the contrast before publication shows text bleeding through from the other side and letters that stick out.
- Legal figures only with a lawyer's signature. In legal topics one made-up deadline costs more than a missing article.
- One source for data that repeats. A Google rating kept in one file does not drift apart between pages.
- Do not reverse old redirects. Browsers remember a 301 redirect permanently, so a reverse rule sends returning visitors into a loop.
Three questions about this case study
Because the law firm agreed in writing to its publication. Without such consent we describe a project without the client's name, as in the case study of the company from the esoteric sector.
The new site has been live since 5 October 2026, which is too short for a fair comparison of traffic before and after the move. The Google Ads and Search Console data belong to the law firm and stay in the reports we prepare for it.
Yes, when the content changes every few days rather than every hour. The site has no admin panel and no plugins to update, and we deploy a new version from the repository in a few minutes, with every file on the server checked.
